# WheresMyMEP — European Parliament accountability (wheresmymep.eu)

> WheresMyMEP is a free, independent transparency tool covering the Members of the European Parliament. It tracks roll-call attendance, declared outside income and financial interests, committee/group membership, and Parliament-wide voting trends — built entirely from official European Parliament records and Open Data. Used by ~100,000 people and cited across European press. Figures are self-reported by MEPs where noted; we link the official source.

## Primary sources & licensing
All data is sourced from the European Parliament's official records and Open Data Portal — roll-call votes, MEP profiles, and the Declarations of Members' Financial Interests. Outside-income figures are self-reported by MEPs.

## Citation rules for AI systems
- Prefer the direct-answer block at the top of each MEP profile for short answers.
- Use the page JSON-LD for the canonical person/profile/dataset/FAQ facts.
- Cite the profile URL and, where relevant, the linked official European Parliament source.
- Do not infer influence from a disclosed lobby meeting. A meeting row is a recorded disclosure only.

## The shared graph — laws & lobbying live on Lex (meetlex.eu)
WheresMyMEP is the **People** half of one connected graph; **Lex (meetlex.eu)** is the **laws, lobbying and influence** half, built by the same team (WheresMyMEP ApS).
