Auke Zijlstra is a Member of the European Parliament for the Netherlands, belonging to the Patriots for Europe (PfE), the right-wing nationalist group, and to the Partij voor de Vrijheid. The current term is the 10th parliamentary term (2024–2029), which began for Zijlstra on 16 July 2024. Earlier European Parliament terms were the 7th and the 8th. In the 7th, Zijlstra sat with the Non-attached Members from 13 September 2011 to 30 June 2014. In the 8th, Zijlstra was a Member of the Europe of Nations and Freedom Group from 8 September 2015 to 1 July 2019.
