António Tânger Corrêa is a Member of the European Parliament for Portugal, sitting in the Patriots for Europe (PfE) group, the right-wing nationalist group, and representing Chega. Tânger Corrêa has been a Member since 16 July 2024 in the 10th parliamentary term (2024–2029) and holds the post of Vice-Chair of the Patriots for Europe Group. Before joining the Parliament, Tânger Corrêa was a career diplomat from 1978 to 2018, serving as Ambassador of Portugal to Qatar and Oman, to Egypt, Jordan, Sudan and Eritrea, and to Lithuania, among other postings. Tânger Corrêa has been Vice-President of CHEGA since June 2020 and a board member of the Patriots for Europe Foundation since October 2024.
